When I opened my web browser all of a sudden it redirected itself to a page saying that an nginx sever had successfully been installed.

nginx is a http server software installed to web servers. web servers require many softwares to make websites work. Most famous web server softwares include Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx etc. Nginx is a Russian-made software which is known to give great speed in loading websites. I like it. Its not a virus.
